I did Ahmeds model shoot today, one of two sessions I had – the other to be posted soon. And I was pretty pleased with the result. Ahmed was way so cool throughout.
Zanzibar – it just sounds way too cool and exotic
I am African (I say this only to establish context) and I was still blown away to meet someone from Zanzibar – not many people have heard of the place. The name just reminds me of all those exotic places you hear of or see depicted in old movies about Africa – Coming to America or Lion King comes immediately to mind. I barely just remember it from secondary school geography way back when I was a young lad schooling in Africa, so you can imagine my surprise when Ahmed mentioned that he is from Zanzibar. Ahmed’s portfolio shoot was originally booked for last week but he could not make it, so we rescheduled for today and these are from that shoot earlier today. He really looks pretty cool to me – now I’ve seen Zanzibar.
